My client, a global IT and Telecoms company, has an urgent requirement for a Data Warehouse Manager / Teradata / SQL expert to work in their South Dublin site.
This is a fixed term contract role for 12 months. The salary is up to €65,000 for the right candidate.
Role Purpose Data Warehouse Manager / Teradata / SQL expert:
-Manage the Data Warehouse Model
-Provide Technical Support and guidance to the Data Warehouse Development Team
-Manage The Evolutionary Changes to the Data Model
-Manage Teradata Data Warehouse hardware and software upgrades
Key Accountabilities for the Data Warehouse Manager / Teradata / SQL expert:
-Design logical and physical data models to support business needs
-Technical analysis & assessment of projects and development designs
-Define processes for ensuring efficient integration of new data entities to the data model
-Produce technical specifications for Teradata development
-Review Teradata development code and ensure optimisation
-Manage hardware and software upgrades on Teradata Data Warehouse
-Liaise with external vendors on implementation of new models
-Training of other technical resources in using data model

-Enterprise data model designs
-Technical advice on utilisation and integration of data model
-High quality, optimised, technical developments from team
-Feasibility study inputs
-Successful Data Warehouse upgrades (hardware and software)
Person Specification for the Data Warehouse Manager / Teradata / SQL expert:
-Project Management
-Knowledge of ERWIN modelling environment
-SQL based database experience
-Advanced SQL skills
-Knowledge of TERADATA
-Knowledge of Data Warehousing, including Upgrades
