I am currently recruiting an Integration Architect with stong middleware skills, for a leading IT position for one the countries largest blue chip organisations .
The Integration Architect will:
•Demonstrate technical expertise with Application Integration technology across the lifecycle, seeking to continuously improve standards, processes and capability within the department
•Define and apply Application Integration technology standards and guidelines across change programmes and ensure that technical governance is applied.
•Act as overall project or programme technical design authority for Application Integration components, responsible for ensuring that the design of IT-based solutions meets the functional and non-functional requirements in line with relevant business and IT strategies.
•Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business requirements, and technical designs relating to the Application Integration in a complex environment
•Influence project or programme scope, requirements or solution.
•Act as principal interface to, and work in collaboration with, business change to understand business need and develop appropriate Application Integration solutions in line with strategy & architecture.
•Work with solution designers to ensure that designs for Application Integration components are fit for purpose, deliverable, and adhere to standards and best practice.
•Contribute to the development of the Design & Architecture practice and coach/mentor designers.
Experience Skills & Qualifications
Required skills:
Solid understanding of Application Integration and design patterns. Experience of designing and implementing integrated solutions to standards, patterns, and best practice, including:
Detailed knowledge of one or more integration product(s), including IBM WebSphere products
Practical experience in a platform integration technology and detailed knowledge of the component based design required within this environment
Ability to provide technical expertise on Application Integration to other key project stakeholders, including project management, test and release management.
Experience of delivering technical solutions using both waterfall and agile methods.
Desirable skills:
Demonstrable experience in integrating complex systems via EAI / ESB and via adapter development
Deep application component modelling and application integration experience
Understanding of Mainframe, Distributed and Service-oriented architecture discipline, processes, concepts and best practices, including SOA, web services, ESB, SOAP, XML, MQ series
Experience of writing technical standards documentation.
Experience of working within an enterprise context, including ensuring architectural conformance and exercising design governance.
