A motivated Business Analyst with excellent communication and strong technical skills is required for this leading Investment Bank.
This person will be responsible for project delivery of market data to the Fixed Income business groups . The role will consist of analysis, requirements gathering, testing and documentation across multiple projects.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Fixed Income data attributes and must be able to handle a number of simultaneous projects, be able to prioritise, demonstrate ownership and drive projects to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete analysis/data mining in the KM database and liaise with other business and/or technical groups in order to satisfy client requirements
Gather and document requirements and compile functional specifications giving consideration to management, process, control and measurement of each function or task
Act as primary interface between the technology group and the operations group, designing data flows, functionality and user interfaces
Liaise with external parties to coordinate and compile data mapping documentation and agree project deliverables and timelines
Write test plans and cases to test new feeds/functionality and regression test existing feeds/functionality taking into account input and outputs from the KM system, documenting results within a SOX framework
Technical/Functional Specifications:
Prior Business Systems Analyst experience
Familiarity with technical lifecycle and experience working closely with development teams within a structured SDLC
Knowledge of various development methods (i.e. RAD, Waterfall, Agile)
Hands on SQL experience and understanding of XML
Experience of ETL
Experience within the Financial Services industry, ideally with an understanding of market data
