The Role:
The role is a manufacturing / quality engineer in the quality assurance & engineering department with the principle responsibility to support the factory with hands on problem solving and facilitation of new product build with the production supervision team. The role is first line support for the factory for electrical and mechanical problems, and requires a high level of flexibility, a positive attitude and good inter-personal skills and a natural leader and communicator.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigation of Internal Quality Concerns & Corrective Action Reporting.
Implementation of Quality & Productivity improvements.
Design for Manufacture on New Products.
Deviation Approval for Build Errors and Corrections
Correction and Updating of Manufacturing Procedures & Documentation
New Component & Product Sample Validation
Process Waste & Scrap Improvement Actions & Reporting
Key Skills:
HND / Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience in a manufacturing support role.
Formally trained in problem solving techniques.
Proven experience of using MRP systems.
High degree of capability of data manipulation and analysis.
The expectations are the engineer will work very closely with the local manufacturing management to ensure efficient manufacture is achieved, and improvements in labour utilisation / cost reductions are implemented. Day to day activities will be focused on daily output with medium term objectives on strategic manufacturing methodologies
